Train System Utilities Changelog

Changes in each published version. Before installing or updating, please check the supported environment and notes.

Entries for older versions describe the behaviour at the time of release. For current usage, see the Wiki.

Train System Utilities 1.1.0

Manta 2.5.0 (embedded)Release notes on GitHub

Improved text rendering and added support for Manta 2.5.0.

  • Updated the bundled Manta to 2.5.0. There are no gameplay changes.
  • Text in dialogs, tooltips, the Wiki and the shared HUD is now rendered at the actual screen resolution.
  • On Windows, the OS font is used. To return to the previous font, run /manta font off. Some of TSU's own HUDs still use the previous rendering.
  • Migrated to Manta's public API and added a check that verifies the connection to the bundled library at build time.

Notes on updating

There are compatibility constraints when this version is used together with older versions that require Manta 1.x. If you also use other BelugaLab mods, update them to the corresponding versions. For SAS, 1.1.0 is the corresponding version. For ASC, please check the release status for a corresponding version.

Train System Utilities 1.0.11

Manta 1.1.74 (embedded)Release notes on GitHub

Improved the model images for the Wiki and the model preview output.

  • Fixed Platform Screen Doors and Pantographs being exported to Wiki images in mid-motion poses.
  • The opening and closing animations of the Pantograph, Platform Screen Door and Automatic Ticket Gate can now be exported for model previews.
  • There are no changes to normal gameplay.

Train System Utilities 1.0.10

Manta 1.1.74 (embedded)Release notes on GitHub

Management Computer settings can now be saved to a Memory Card.

  • Line symbols, station assignments, monitor placement and colors, Electronic Schedule sharing settings, and link targets are saved to the card.
  • Inserting a configured card restores its contents. Inserting an empty card saves the computer's current settings.
  • Changes made while a card is inserted are saved to the card automatically. Even if you place the computer again, you can restore its settings from the same card.
  • Added a confirmation screen that shows what will be deleted when a card is reset.
  • Line symbols are now displayed from the card as their single source, which fixes symbols flickering after the computer is placed again.
  • Fixed Monitor Link Cards and schedules going into the wrong slot. Already-written schedules can no longer be overwritten by mistake.
  • Polished the action icons, the display of unset values, the Chinese translation, and the links on 12 Wiki pages.

Note for existing worlds

After the update, Management Computers without a card inserted no longer display the line symbols of their stations. Inserting a Memory Card brings the display back. If you remove the card, the symbols are likewise hidden until you insert it again.

Train System Utilities 1.0.9

Manta 1.1.12 (embedded)Release notes on GitHub

Localized the Memory Card messages.

  • 17 entries of action messages and tooltips now support Japanese, English, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese (Hong Kong and Taiwan).
  • Fixed the placeholder symbols used for translation, the hint colors, and some wording in the Chinese Wiki.
  • The translations were contributed by WJiangzhi (PR #3). Thank you for your help.
  • All other features and the bundled Manta are unchanged from 1.0.8.

Installation

Manta is bundled. Do not add a separate Manta jar.

Train System Utilities 1.0.8

Manta 1.1.12 (embedded)Release notes on GitHub

Added Chinese screen text and a Chinese in-game Wiki.

  • Added support for Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese (Hong Kong and Taiwan). Each language adds 1,168 screen text entries and 52 Wiki pages.
  • The screens and the Wiki switch according to your Minecraft language setting.
  • The translations were contributed by WJiangzhi (PR #1). Thank you for your help.
  • Features and the bundled Manta are unchanged from 1.0.7.

Train System Utilities 1.0.7

Manta 1.1.12 (embedded)Release notes on GitHub

Added the Station Name Sign and redesigned the models of the management equipment.

  • Added a Station Name Sign that is 4 blocks wide and 1 block tall. When placed inside a station group, it shows the station name, the line color and the adjacent stations on both sides.
  • Also added a sign with a pole that can hang from the ceiling.
  • Changed the Management Computer, Railway Management Block and Poster Management Block to models equivalent to 2 blocks tall. Existing placement directions are kept.
  • Whether a card is inserted is now reflected on the model and its lamp. Also fixed inserting and removing cards not being reflected on the screen.

About placement

The new models are taller than the old ones, so check that there is space above your existing equipment.

Added manual train type selection and fixed poster display.

  • You can now choose the type from the train details in the Electronic Schedule. Hover over the “Type” value and use the mouse wheel to change it.
  • You can choose Local, Rapid, Section Rapid, Commuter Rapid, Semi Express, Express, Limited Express or Not set. The setting is reflected in the train list and on station and in-train monitors.
  • Removed the automatic type detection based on the number of stops. Existing trains become Not set.
  • Type badges now widen to fit their text.
  • Fixed the poster option “Fit to Monitor” so images can be displayed with their aspect ratio preserved. ON fits the whole image; OFF fills the display surface.
  • Fixed JPEG images and the type labels on station monitors not being displayed.
  • If fetching an image fails, it is now retried after 30 seconds.

When using a dedicated server, install the same version on the server and the clients.

Fixed multiplayer players being disconnected when a station group is created.

  • Fixed unnecessary route analysis occupying the server for a long time while a station group is being created.
  • Reworked how block information is read during station analysis, reducing the processing load concentrated on the server. The new method does not force-load unloaded chunks.
  • Removed nonexistent admin commands that were listed on the Station Range Tool's Wiki page. Station groups are managed from GUI mode.

Improved screen scaling and added support for resizing dialogs.

  • The game's GUI scale now also applies to Manta screens. Even on high-resolution displays, you can enlarge the display to match your setting.
  • Added a grip at the bottom-right corner of dialogs and the frontmost sub-screen that you drag to adjust their size. The setting is saved per client.
  • Manta is now bundled inside the mod's jar.

Correction to the installation instructions

The description at the time of release said that a separate Manta jar could be left in place, but this was corrected in a later release. When using the bundled version, do not add Manta separately.

Train System Utilities 1.0.3

Manta 1.0.3 (bundled as a separate jar)Release notes on GitHub

Fixed train bogeys becoming invisible with some rendering setups.

  • Fixed bogey rendering stopping partway in setups that use Iris and Flywheel together.
  • No world data repair is needed. After updating, the bogeys appear once the train rendering is regenerated.
  • This version attaches Manta 1.0.3 as a separate jar in the same release. There are no functional changes to Manta itself.

Train System Utilities 1.0.2

Manta 1.0.2 (bundled as a separate jar)Release notes on GitHub

Added in-game video tutorials and improved networking and saving.

  • Tutorial videos can now be played from the Wiki. A video for the Overhead Pole Placement Helper has been added.
  • Carries over the Management Computer display fixes and the station line symbols.
  • Strengthened validation of permissions for each action, the ownership of targets, reach distance and more.
  • Revised the size and count limits for poster images, the validation of their content, and how they are saved.
  • Added limits on layout, pixel count and resource usage for generating screen images in the Wiki.
  • Other data is now kept even if part of the saved data is corrupted. Also fixed electrification data being carried over into other worlds.
  • Strengthened validation of the Ticket Vending Machine's network data.

For this version, install both the TSU and Manta jars from the same release. Manta is bundled inside the jar from 1.0.4 onward.

Fixed the Management Computer and station monitor displays.

  • Line symbols are now also reflected on distant and unloaded stations.
  • Fixed the display position shifting while scrolling the station, train and schedule lists. Added a scrollbar to the station list.
  • The border of line symbol badges on station monitors is now drawn all the way around.
  • When editing an Electronic Schedule in multiplayer, the current content is now fetched from the server.
